Meet The Team

Liza Bayless

Senior Policy Specialist

Liza Bayless supports the work of the Women’s Justice Commission and previously served as staff for the Task Force on Long Sentences.

Bayless has a decade of experience working in public policy, community engagement, and marketing and communications. Her background includes extensive work with currently and formerly incarcerated individuals, including with a Seattle-area prison education and reentry nonprofit, Wesleyan University’s Center for Prison Education, NYU’s Prison Education Program, and the Parole Preparation Project.

Bayless holds her master’s degree in public administration with a focus on public policy analysis from NYU Wagner and her BA in English and government from Wesleyan University. She lives in Denver.
