Rivera spent the early part of her career working on political campaigns and serving as Director of Operations for Maryland Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend. After focusing on the home education of her children, she launched HomeboundUSA.com to help parents navigate the challenges of home schooling during the coronavirus pandemic. Rivera's work in the community includes partnering with the faith community to provide resources for displaced individuals and families.
