    Bio: Carla Bugg is Criminal Justice Services Coordinator for the Recovery Organization of Support Specialist, where she trains and manages other peers to support men and women with a substance use disorder during their reentry after incarceration. After battling years of addiction, Bugg was convicted and sentenced to serve 45 years in state and 27 years in federal prison. After serving 20 years, Bugg was released and became a Certified Recovery Support Specialist. A resident of Huntsville, AL, she has 29 years of long-term recovery, but only by the grace of God. She is also a military veteran with years of experience supporting others seeking recovery. She was honored with the 2018 Peer Warrior Award by the Alabama Department of Mental Health. She also serves on the Board of Directors at N.O.M.A (Not One More Alabama).

    Bio 2: Bugg is the mother of five beautiful children and four adorable grandchildren. She uses her life to transparently share her faults, failures, and strengths to encourage others toward a better way of life. Bugg believes that when you find your purpose, you find your life.
