Chiarelli is a four-star general (retired) now advocating for people affected by brain disease and injury. Until early 2018, he served as Chief Executive Officer of ONE MIND, an organization seeking to eliminate mental health stigma and accelerate the development of diagnostics, treatments, and cures. As the Army’s Vice Chief of Staff, Chiarelli was responsible for day-to-day operations and 1.1 million active and reserve soldiers. He received the Patriot Award for his work to help soldiers and families suffering from the invisible wounds of war.
