In 2009, Dan Meyer co-founded Nehemiah Manufacturing Co., whose mission is to build brands, create jobs, and change lives through employment and whole life coaching in the urban heart of Cincinnati. Six years later, Meyer led a group that joined with other businesses in providing critically needed jobs for people exiting prison and returning home. In 2016, the Beacon of Hope Business Alliance was formally launched, engaging leaders from business, government, churches, and other community organizations. Its mission is to ensure that all individuals who want to work and change their lives are given the chance. To date, over 70 companies are involved in this mission, which has led to the hiring of over 500 people.

Can Suicide be Predicted for Justice-Involved Veterans?
Military veterans have more than twice the risk of suicide death as non-veterans. This brief examines a federal program designed to identify veterans with the highest suicide risk in order to provide enhanced outreach and support. It finds that the prediction model had low accuracy for identifying veterans who died by suicide.
