Before joining the Council, Sanchez was a faculty research analyst at the Maryland Sentencing Commission, where she analyzed data to help manage sentencing guidance for judges. She also conducted research on civil forfeiture and occupational regulation at the Institute for Justice. Sanchez holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and a B.A. in political science from North Carolina State University. She was also a Frédéric Bastiat Fellow at George Mason University’s Mercatus Center.
