    Bio: Rejón serves as Urban Peace Institute’s executive director after building the organization’s agenda for over a decade. A community organizer with over 18 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, he has trained thousands of leaders in gang intervention and non-traditional community safety strategies. In 2019, Rejón co-created the National Street Outreach Partnership as a platform for frontline intervention organizations and advocates dedicated to shaping and strengthening the field of violence reduction to serve the most violence-impacted communities in the nation. He has emerged as a national thought leader on addressing complex issues involving neighborhood violence, policing, and policy development, and he has advised law enforcement agencies nationwide on innovative policing strategies to increase public trust and reduce violence.

    Bio 2: Rejón is a current and founding advisory board member of the National Gang Conference in Los Angeles and has presented at multiple universities, including UCLA, NYU Law School, and John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
