A 20+ year veteran of the nonprofit fundraising world, Surber currently oversees individual giving at Environmental Defense Fund. She previously served as Senior Director of Philanthropic Partnerships at the Pew Charitable Trusts, where her team generated more than $50 million annually. Earlier career stops included the German Marshall Fund of the United States, the League of Conservation Voters, and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. A lifelong social justice advocate, Surber volunteers in her local community supporting BRAWS, a gender/menstrual equity NGO, and has been a proud CCJ Board member since the organization was founded.
