Marissa McCall Dodson passed away in May 2021. The Council honors her memory, her commitment to the pursuit of justice, and her role as a founding director and member of our organization. Dodson was a leading advocate for Georgia’s landmark criminal and juvenile justice reforms since the state began pursuing system improvements in 2011. Before joining the Southern Center for Human Rights, she worked on the ACLU’s Campaign for Smart Justice and launched Georgia’s first initiative to reduce barriers facing people with a criminal history.
We have accomplished a lot together in our first five years, but we are just getting started. Will you support the Council as we build bridges across ideological divides and craft consensus for solutions?
