Haynes is a philanthropic leader who has developed and overseen grant program areas that include U.S. criminal justice system transformation and participatory philanthropy by the formerly incarcerated; climate change solutions; U.S. human rights; NYC community development; technology for social change; climate resilience/disaster relief and educating girls/women around the world. He was formerly with the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, U.S. Department of State, Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Oxfam and the Carnegie Endowment.
