Lucretia Murphy

Vice President, Center for Justice & Economic Advancement, Jobs for the Future

Lucretia Murphy is vice president of the Center for Justice & Economic Advancement at Jobs for the Future (JFF). She develops integrated strategies that increase economic opportunity for individuals and economic prosperity for communities, with an emphasis on economic advancement for young people and adults who have criminal records.

Before joining JFF, Murphy was executive director of the See Forever Foundation, which operates the Maya Angelou Public Charter Schools in Washington, DC. Murphy received a PhD in higher education policy from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, a law degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and a bachelor’s degree in international politics, law, and organization from Georgetown University.
