Dr. Kimá Joy Taylor is the founder of Anka Consulting LLC, a health care consulting company. She is an experienced leader, manager and strategist with a track record of building and stewarding strong relationships and partnerships to advance policy and programs that cost-effectively improve individual and community health outcomes. A pediatrician, Kimá has served in myriad national and local roles including patient care provider, legislative assistant for Senator Sarbanes and Deputy Health Commissioner of Baltimore City, where she led the Clinical Service, Maternal Child Health, and Chronic Disease Prevention Divisions.
Her most recent role was as Director of the National Drug Addiction Treatment and Harm Reduction Program Officer for the Open Society Foundations. There, she led a program focused on impacting federal and state level policy and programs to ensure health care reform (ACA) rules and regulations include comprehensive, integrated behavioral health services and increased access to addiction treatment services.
