Janos Marton

Chief Advocacy Officer, Dream.Org

Born and raised in New York City, Janos Marton has spent the last 23 years as an organizer, lawyer, and campaign director working on social justice issues across the country. After graduating from Fordham Law Magna Cum Laude, Janos worked on civil rights cases and tackling corruption. He was named the first Advocacy Director for JustLeadershipUSA, where he managed the historic #CLOSErikers campaign. Janos then oversaw state criminal justice programs for the ACLU before running for Manhattan District Attorney on bold decarceration policies that became the gold standard in that race. As Chief Advocacy Officer at Dream.Org, Janos oversees our policy and political programs that advance our criminal justice and climate goals, as well as our communications and digital engagement departments.
