Former Mayor of Philadelphia

After nearly 15 years on the Philadelphia City Council, Nutter served two terms as mayor, presiding over a substantial crime drop and economic revival in the nation’s fifth-largest city. With New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu, Nutter launched Cities United, an initiative to combat violence among African-American men and boys. He also served on former President Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper Advisory Council and is a visiting fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy School Institute of Politics.
