Masouredis obtained a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California, Berkeley, and was selected as a 2022-2023 recipient of the prestigious John Gardner Public Service Fellowship. An Oakland native, he has volunteered with the Oakland Department of Violence Prevention and received a special commendation from the Oakland City Council for his community service. At Cal, Masouredis completed an honor’s thesis on the influence of community violence on public opinions about police defunding in Oakland, for which he received highest honors.
